Is the free plan really free?

Yes — up to 50 students, free forever, with the full core platform: scheduling, online registration, billing and autopay through the platform, and the parent portal. It's not a trial and it doesn't expire. The only cost you'll ever see on the free plan is standard card processing when your families pay you.

What does a studio actually pay on a $100 tuition payment?

Accepted Answer

Card processing is handled by Stripe at Stripe's standard rate (2.9% + 30¢ for most US cards), plus a 0.75% ClassPulse platform fee. On a $100 payment that's $3.20 to Stripe and $0.75 to ClassPulse, so your studio receives $96.05. There are no monthly processor fees, no statement fees, and no hidden per-transaction add-ons.

What happens when I pass 50 students on the free plan?

Your account keeps working — we never cut off access for your families or delete your data. When student 51 enrolls, we'll ask you to upgrade to Starter ($49/mo) within 30 days. Upgrading is a single click and nothing about your setup changes.

Can I switch plans?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. When you upgrade, you get immediate access to the new features. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. No penalties, no lock-in.

How does the free trial work on paid plans?

Paid plans (Starter, Growth, Pro) start with a 14-day free trial — no credit card required. You get full access to everything in your chosen plan. At the end of the trial, add a payment method to keep going, or drop down to the free plan if you have 50 or fewer students.

For your studio's subscription, we accept all major credit cards. For your families' tuition payments, ClassPulse supports credit and debit cards — powered by Stripe for secure, reliable processing, with payouts going directly to your studio's own Stripe account.

Can I import from Jackrabbit, iClassPro, or Mindbody?

Yes. ClassPulse imports your families, students, and enrollments from CSV files, with downloadable templates and a guided validator that understands the export formats Jackrabbit and iClassPro produce — and any other system's CSV (including Mindbody) can be mapped to the same templates. Payment history and past schedules don't transfer; you start those fresh in ClassPulse. Founding studios get free white-glove migration — we do the import for you.
